Gareth leads Thought Machine’s client services and partnerships functions, and is responsible for delivering high quality support to customers and partners.
A former engineer, Gareth holds over 20 years of experience in senior positions delivering software solutions to the world’s leading banks. Prior to joining Thought Machine, Gareth founded emerging technology consulting business MV37, served as Managing Director of GFT Group, and as Global Head of Delivery at Rule Financial.
Gareth is a Board Advisor to Adaptive Financial Consulting and invests in emerging technology companies such as Seven Feet Apart and ems.ai.
Will leads Thought Machine’s engineering teams in developing world leading cloud native technology, and is responsible for building a company culture of engineering excellence.
Prior to joining Thought Machine in 2014, Will was a senior software engineer at Google where he worked on their advertising systems accounting for 80% of company revenues. Will became an expert in cloud technology while working on Ad Exchange, a large-scale real-time auction platform, before becoming Technical Lead of mobile ads on the AdSense network.
Will received an MPhil in Computer Science at the University of Cambridge and a first class degree in Computer Science at the University of Edinburgh.
Travers heads up Thought Machine’s sales and marketing teams, and is responsible for leading business development, customer acquisition, and brand building activities to drive global growth.
Travers has over 15 years’ board level experience scaling regional sales and marketing functions across software, banking, energy and retail industries. Before joining Thought Machine, Travers was Chief Marketing Officer at Fiserv and Managing Director at Barclays, where he led the market launch of peer-to-peer payment app PingIt. Prior to this, Travers was responsible for launching EDF Energy into the UK, as well as building their pioneering Nectar scheme.
Matt is responsible for building the underlying operational infrastructure to support the company's global growth ambitions. Matt ensures that the company is operating with agility and resilience on a day-to-day basis, while also building strategic innovation projects for international expansion.
Prior to joining Thought Machine, Matt spent seven years leading the global M&A Engineering Integrations team at Google. Among the 120 acquisitions he led during his time in this role was Paul Taylor’s business Phonetic Arts in 2010. As a computer scientist and a former engineer, Matt decided to join Thought Machine as he is passionate about how technology can be used to positively disrupt outdated industries such as banking.
Verity heads up the CEO's office at Thought Machine, and as Chief of Staff is responsible for supporting the CEO in the development and execution of corporate strategy. Verity and her team are also responsible for the execution of key company-wide initiatives, launching and scaling new cross-functional programs, and managing company-wide reporting.
Verity previously spent more than five years at Elixirr, a boutique consultancy, where she focused on strategy definition, business/digital transformation and process improvement/cost reduction in financial services and technology. Verity has worked across Europe and Africa advising C-suite and senior leaders within global banks, insurance and pensions providers.
Verity is a trustee of London-based charity, The Boxing Academy, supporting disadvantaged young people in London. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Cambridge.
Arnaud leads finance, risk and compliance for Thought Machine. He previously held financial leadership roles at Finastra where he led their program office focused on strategic and corporate finance projects related to maximising shareholder value and return, adjusting the capital structure, and developing best practices. He was also responsible for the treasury, investor relations and strategic finance planning functions. Under his leadership, the medium-term plan was revamped and the communication to external investors was improved.
Prior to Finastra, he was a senior investment banker. Over the course of his 20-year banking career, Arnaud led strategic advisory and financing transactions including over $150 billion in M&A, $25 billion raised in equity offerings and billions in high yield and investment grade issuance. Arnaud was a managing director at TAP Advisors, the investment banking boutique, where he co-led coverage in the EMEA region, based out of London.
Prior to that, he worked at Bank of America and Merrill Lynch for 15 years, where he covered TMT clients across the EMEA region.
He holds a master’s degree in financial engineering and corporate finance from Paris Dauphine University.
Dana leads the worldwide sales organisation and go-to-market strategy for Thought Machine. After starting his career as an engineer, Dana spent more than two decades building and leading enterprise sales teams. Prior to Thought Machine Dana worked in early-stage companies as well as established industry leaders such as Box, SAP, EMC/Documentum, and PTC.
He has experience expanding go-to-market teams across international markets as well as multiple verticals, regions and new market segments. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
Martin is a commercially focused lawyer with over twenty years’ experience who is leading and expanding Thought Machine’s global legal team and corporate secretariat function. Martin is responsible for defining, implementing, and managing the group's global legal strategy, which involves navigating complex environments in multiple markets, facilitating governance and working with Though Machine’s customers in their highly regulated industries.
Prior to joining Thought Machine as General Counsel, Martin was a senior partner at the commercial technology legal practices of both Taylor Wessing and Latham & Watkins. Martin specialises in the financial services sector and has advised many of the world’s top-tier investment, commercial and retail banks in the UK, Europe and the USA.
